Job Brief

The warehouse worker is to receive and dispatch goods to and from our warehouse. The warehouse worker will load and unload outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles. You will select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to the delivery area, and load goods. You will unload stock from delivery vehicles, and transport it to and store in designated warehouse positions. You will keep your work environment clean and tidy at all times, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

1. Safe operation of a truck in the movement and storage of products.

2. Retain knowledge of and comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

3. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.

4. Maneuver a truck into loading and unloading inbound shipments safely and moving products to storage locations.

5. Maintain delivery, truck and driving records.

6. Report any maintenance malfunctions immediately after the discovery of the situation.

7. Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material

8. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

9. Assist to record goods inventory for the department.

10. Assist to perform regular cycle counts.

11. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the truck.

12. Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.

13. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse

14. Ability to work overtime as needed

15. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. 1-3 years of commercial truck driving experience is strongly preferred.

2. Must have a valid CDL class B license, or class A license (a plus).

3. Must be at least 21 years of age.

4. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.

5. Ability to lift items that weigh up to of 50lbs.

6. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.

7.No recent moving or driving violations.

8. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations, including traffic, weather conditions, etc.).

9. A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus.

10. Good communication and customer service skills as well as general digital literacy.

11. Responsible, initiative, detail-oriented and a team play with good communication ability.
